Alrighty. So, transfer meeting is over with. I'm back here in Lauderhill Sur with my companion, Sister Meiling. She is from Sandy, Utah and she likes to invite people to be baptized. We get along great. Taking over the area has been stressful, but the Lord has really helped me. I, seriously, almost threw up every time I'd have to talk on the phone in Spanish, but now it's a breeze. We had Stake Conference yesterday. Ricardo came. We invited him to be baptized right after the meeting. He said no, but we have another lesson with him tonight. We're teaching him about the Atonement, and we're going to invite him again. I can not wait. He is so prepared. He is already a member. OOO! We had a prayer with the coolest guy the other day. His name was Norman. Here's a short story for you guys. We're walking the other day and all of the sudden I hear the voice of an angel. I follow the voice to make sure that it's real and sure enough Elvis Presley's "Tutti Frutti" was blaring out of a window along with some beautiful harmonica playing. I told Sister Meiling that it was a sign; we HAD to go talk to him. He opened the door and we shared a prayer with him. After we invited him to be baptized and he declined the invitation, he told us that he played harmonica for CCR and Jimmy Buffet back in the day. It was the coolest thing. He was missing a few teeth. I hope things are going well for you guys. Someone asked for our phone number the other day and I started telling them our home phone. It was weird. I just want to tell you guys that God loves you so much. I was studying the Preach My Gospel lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ this morning and my mind was blown (again). God only asks us to have faith in His son Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. That's all we have to do and He promises us his grace and mercy. That's a pretty good deal. I love you guys. Thanks for everything. Hermana Gardner P.S. This is me and Sister Meiling. I look icky. Don't worry about it.
