Family, HELLLOOOO! So, we have P-day today because yesterday was a holiday. Holidays are good because a lot of people are home. We had a lot of people that were not very happy to talk to us yesterday. This lady, literally, said "Ugh no. no. NO." All I wanted to do was giver her a card in passing. She must have been having a hard day. BUT the good news is that we have miles again, so we don't have to bike everywhere. Biking was kind of fun though. We had a lot of cool adventures. We got to ride the bus and put our bikes on the front and everything. Here is an ugly picture of myself to prove it. Those bike helmets plus the humidity do wonders for my hair, but we met an awesome lady from Guatemala that day. She said she has been looking for a church to go to! We are teaching her right now. Vale la pena = it was worth it.
Also, we've been working in area that is wonderful. I was so afraid of it at first. I went there once with Sister Daines and did not like it, but we got desperate. We have met some really awesome people. We are teaching this cute little family and I am so excited about it. They are from El Salvador and have three little girls. We asked them to come to church with us and the little girls were so excited. This is a picture of their street. The sunsets here are so pretty.
We also have a few other people that we are working with. Things are picking up, but we just can't get people to commit to a date for baptism. We know they are ready, but they just keeping dragging their feet. The hardest thing is just getting them to come to church. They love having us over and talking about Jesus Christ, but they just won't act. We've had some really awesome trainings lately though, so we're going to just try harder this week. Well, we've got to get going. We're deep cleaning the house today. Hooray! I love you all so much. I miss you guys everyday. Can i be dorky and share a scripture with you? Ok! Romans 8: 38-39. " For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." I know that's true. He love you a lot. Love you!!...and just for fun. It doesn't matter where I go, I'll always find him.
