Familia!!!!
Alright. Well, this week has been nuts. Here are some highlights.
1. My trainer and her companion right before me were kicked out of a trailer park a while ago, so my trainer and I never went in. Well, Sister Meiling and I got the courage and went in. HAHA we'd literally run passed the managers trailer. We were teaching some cool people. Some of them even came to church! One day we were talking to this nice little lady on the street and a golf cart pulls up. It was the fuzz aka a mean, white manager. He yelled at us and told us that if we didn't leave, he'd call the cops. So, we left, but we're sneaking back in tonight as soon as it gets dark. It's FULL of Spanish. There is no way that we can stay out.
2. We met this CRAZY man named Charlie. He let us in on the REAL secrets of the universe and he gave us permission to preach it to the world. So lucky.
3. We got straight up besitoed (kissed on the face) by a Peruvian man. Usually they keep their distance, but this one did not.
4. We met this guy named Sal. He told us that he doesn't really do the whole religion thing. We asked him why and he said because nobody has been able to answer his questions. I was a little nervous to ask what it was, but we did. He said, "So, back in my country, there are tribes of people that have never seen a car or a TV or a white person. Religious people tell me all the time that if you don't accept Jesus into your life that you are going to hell. They say that we all have the urge down in us to seek Christ and if we don't, it's our fault and we're going to hell. So, are those people going to hell just because they have never had the chance to accept Jesus?" We were able to testify that everyone will get a chance to accept the Gospel in this life or the next. He thought about it and said "In 20 years no one has been able to answer that question for me. I'm going to have to come to your church." It felt so awesome because we do have the answers. I loved testifying about it because it has brought so much clarity to my life. Everyone deserves that clarity.
5. We were walking passed a man who was a little rough looking. No shirt. Tats ALL OVER. Even on his eyelid. I was really afraid to talk to him, but I just bit the bullet and did it. He's awesome! Such a big softy. His wife just passed away while giving birth to their 3rd child. So, he's a single dad now and needs the gospel so much. We're meeting with him for the third time tonight with a member of the bishopric. I am so excited. He needs the Gospel so much. So glad that I didn't judge that book by his cover.
6. We're still good looking.
7. Florida is still the best place to be. I love it. Someday I'll see this sunset from the beach. Can you imagine?!
I love you family. Sorry that these emails are all so scattered. My brain doesn't work as well as it used to. The old gray mare..Anyway, I love you, and I know that God loves you too. Keep on keepin' on.
Les quiero muchisimo!!!
Hermana Gardner
