FAMILY!!!
Sorry that I didn't get an email out to you yesterday. Turns out, there was a holiday yesterday. Holidays are a great time to find people at home, so we had a switch-er-oo. We're glad too, because we some really awesome miracles.
We stopped by to see Adelfa yesterday. (You guys know Adelfa, right? The coolest Cuban lady in the entire world? Yes. Her.) Well, she was outside talking to her son, Jorge. I don't know if you all remember, but when we first met Adelfa, he was there. He told us that he was preparing to be baptized in Naples, and he asked us if we could please keep coming back to visit his family. He had already given Adelfa a copy of The Book of Mormon, and he when we were teaching Adelfa, he told her to just get baptized. And she did!! Anyway, he has moved back to live with Adelfa, and he still hasn't been baptized yet. WHAT THE!? We asked him to be baptized this Sunday, and he said YES!! This man is meant to be baptized. We can't wait.
We're still trucking along with Juan. I need to get a picture of him up here. He'd love it, if we asked for a picture with him. Guys, he is the coolest old man. We were talking to him the other day, and get this!!! He told us that when he was at his fittest, he could squat 425 and bench press 325. Also, his waist was 28''!!!! We asked him what he ate, and he said, "o just rice and beans." He's a nut. He started skipping the other day, and said that you can tell when little kids are happy because they do this, and he started skipping. I LOVE THAT MAN!!
Things are going well. We have transfers next week, so P-day will be on Tuesday again. I probably shouldn't say it out loud, but I am not ready to leave Doral. I think Sister Smaellie and I need to stay together one more transfer.
Don't you agree? I think it would be a crime to break this up.
Family, I love you, and I am so grateful for all that you do. People probably get annoyed of me saying, "Man, I wish my family could have been here for this." The mission is awesome. I love it. Hope things are going well for all of you as well. Les quiero muchisimo!
Tu Misionera Favorita,
Hermana Gardner Pants
