April 28, 2014

Family,
Alright. First things first. The cultural celebration for the temple will be broadcasted live at this address. https://www.lds.org/broadcasts/languages/florida-cultural-celebration/2014/04 If you keep an eye out, you may see the best looking missionary in the world. :) The dedication will be this coming Sunday, and I am so excited. Woohooo! It's sad that all the temple happenings are wrapping up. It has been such a wonderful thing to be a part of. I feel so blessed to be here right at this time.
Anyway. Things are going really well. I love Sister T. She is the best. We have way too much fun. I promise I am not under the influence. This is the best picture I got all week. She copied my outfit.
We are teaching some wonderful people. One of the members brought her mother to church yesterday, and she wants to be baptized!! We are so excited. Best part? She only speaks  Spanish!!! WOoohooo! So, I get to use my Spanish. Sister T tells me that I need to annunciate my words better though. She says I sound too Cuban. HAHA I told her that is what I am going for :). It's really funny. She is Mexican, and I am jealous. I try to soak up all her latin-ness. This is one thing that we do. She sings me this cute little Spanish song every night before we fall. I LOVE IT. Maybe I'll sing it to you all when I talk to you on Mother's Day!!!
I don't really have much else to say, so here is a miracle that I sent to President Anderson today.
This week we tried so hard to get new investigators and to get those new investigators to church. We did a very thorough round up (to get people to church) and prayed like crazy. Well, the people that we planned for didn't come, but the Lord compensated. One of our beautiful members brought their non-member mother. She cried throughout Sacrament Meeting and when we went to follow up with her that evening, she didn't understand why she had been crying so much. We quickly told her what that feeling was that she was feeling. Then we explained that the Holy Ghost testifies of truth. We explained to her how when we are baptized we are promised to have the Spirit always, if we keep the commandments. We invited her to be baptized, and she said yes. She didn't accept a date, but she said, "I'm going to do it. I just want to learn a bit more." We invited her to pray. She did and the thing that touched my heart the most was that at the end we looked up and her daughter was just crying and smiling at us and then back at her mother. She told us that she has been waiting for this for so long. We are seeing her again tonight. God is so good to us
Ahh...teaching families is the best. It makes me miss you a bit, but my mission is flying by. I love you all so much and CAN NOT wait to talk to you all in tow weeks!! Food for thought: Mosiah 2: 41. It's a promise. Give it a shot. I'm gonna.
