Hola! Thank you so much for all the letters and pictures. I LOVE getting pictures from the kids. It is the best part of my day. I also got a letter from B&T the other day. They are too nice. I also heard from Sister Hamblin today. We are allowed to email anyone now, so that might be easier for some. I only have an hour on here though, so I don't know if I'll be able to email everyone back. I'll try though. Snail Mail still brightens my day though.
Alrighty, NEWS FROM THE MTC: They have made a big mistake and made Hermana Foster and I Sister Training Leaders. I, honestly, don't know what they were thinking. Hermana Foster handles it well, but I don't know what they were thinking about putting me in here. Basically, we're sister zone leaders. We get to know all the sisters and basically just love them and make sure they are happy. We also welcome in the new missionaries coming in. We go in there and tell them what they should and should not be doing here in the MTC. It's in front of the Branch Presidency though, so it's kind of stressful. We had a district come in this week that was all Elders, so we don't really do much for them. Hopefully, we will be getting new sisters next week.
The Spanish is coming. The gift of tongues is real. I go into every lesson thinking that there is no way that I will be able to say the things I need to say, but somehow the right words come out. It's crazy. Because we are Sister Training Leaders, we have to do certain things during our personal study and class time. Sometimes we don't get to prepare as much as we would like, but the Lord is blessing us. There is so much to know and learn that sometimes I don't feel like I can learn anything else. It's a good thing that I have a fat head. The Lord just keeps making room for everything. They told us the other day that the MTC is 44% sisters, which is an all time high. Also, last week was the first week that more sisters came in then elders. It's so crazy. O ya! There is an Elder here whose dad works on the MTC campus. We bumped into his dad and he told us that there was a sister from his ward that just left to the same mission as this Elder and I are going to. She was assigned to speak Spanish too, but she has ended up speaking Haitian Creole 90% of the time! Can you believe that?!! I'll really have to tap in to the don de lenguas if they make me speak both Spanish and Creole. That would be insane, but so so cool. So, today is our 17th day. In MTC time, we're finishing up our third week. When this week is over, we'll be halfway through our stay here. It is CRAZY.
I hope the green chili burros were good. I wish you could mail me one. The food here is not as good as Grandmas; not by a long shot. Tell dad he smells bad and that I'd rather be here then watching Everbody Loves Raymond any day. The trip to the family land sounds like heaven. Tell Kali she should have just gotten in the water like a real woman. Tell her to squeeze Connor for me. I got a letter from Trevor and Brittany. They colored pictures haha. It was so cute. I have a funny thing to tell Cade. One of the Elders shared it with me yesterday and I DIED. Ok. You know you're a redneck, if the last words of The Pledge of Allegiance are "Gentleman, start your engines." HAHAHA! I just imagine him and Dave in their silly cowboy hats watching Nascar. Also, tell Abby good luck with Tball. You'll have to send me pictures.
Well, lunch is in a few minutes, so I better go. I love you all! Kiss and squeeze the babies for me. And keep those pictures coming. Just know that God is real, that he loves us, and that he is listening. I know it.
Hermana Gardner
