News From the MTC: Our schedules all got changed around, so my P-Days are on Wednesdays now. We also lost our awesome teachers, BUT we got new ones and they are awesome. One of our teachers, Hermano Clifford, was passing pictures around and i was looking at a picture with a bunch of elders in it and there was Bauer Brown. HAHA such a small world. Also, on my way to breakfast this morning, I ran into Sister (Kaeli) Wiltbank. She had just flown in from Show Low. It's crazy that she is here. It makes me feel so old. Do you know if anyone else is coming in the next few weeks. I'd like to keep an eye out for them.
I am officially in my 4th week! Can you believe it?! Yesterday was my 21st day, so I only have 21 more. I'm freaking out. The days seem to be eternal, but the weeks FLY by. I feel like I just got here, but I can't really remember life before this. The MTC is kind of like a time warp. We are now the second oldest district in our zone. It's crazy. As Sister Training Leaders, we welcome in the new districts with the Zone Leaders, but last week they were all Elders. I love elders, but I wanted some new sisters. We don't get a new district this week either. I'm a little bummed, but I'm hoping next week we'll get a bunch of sisters. We did an English fast yesterday. We couldn't speak any English. It was rough. HAHA but I know more than I think I do. It helped a lot, but it was really difficult. We had a lesson yesterday and it went so well. I think because we had been using Spanish all day. I'm excited to really get out there and use it, but TERRIFIED. It's going to be so crazy hard. Ok, here's a funny thing we heard the other day. So, Elder Allan is the head of the Missionary Department and he gave the Sunday Devotional. He was having us stand if we fit certain critereia, like: if you are going to Finland, stand up. Well, he goes, "If you left a girlfriend at home, please stand up." About half of the Elders in the room stood up and he says, " Congrats. On behalf of all the returned missionaries, thank you for your donation." I WAS DYING!!!! HAHA.
I almost forgot. Bishop Ciminski sent me something and told me to email him when I got it. I don't have is email though. Can you either tell him I got it or get his email to me? I won't get a chance to email him until next week though.I tried to attach some pictures, but the computer wouldn't have it. I'm working something out with my campanion and maybe we'll get some to you next week. Thank you so much for everything. I love you and miss you all.
Hermana Gardner
