Missionary work is booming here in Lauderhill Sur. Sister Meiling and I are doing the best work that we know how to do. We've had some really cool experiences and some not so cool ones. Missions are kind of like that; there will be a lot of rejection, but then God will bless us with a really cool experience to help us keep going. For instance: two days ago we were out knocking doors, and this lady opened the door. Before we could even talk she goes, "Wait! Just answer me this: Who is Jesus?" We told her that He is our Savior, that He is the Son of God. She freaked out--telling us that He is not the Son of God. He is God. She said, "You are trying to preach to me about something less than I already have. We are all going to hell everyone of us. Until you accept that, you will never get to Heaven." I didn't understand her reasoning or why she was so angry, but she gave us a pamphlet from her church. We thanked her and when I gave her a mormon.org card she grabbed from my hand like one of dad's stinky socks....So, anyway, bad experience. BUT THEN, we met Grace. Sweetest lady in the world. She didn't agree to be baptized or to having missionaries come back to visit her, but she told is that we were beautiful and told us that what we were doing was very special. It was great. Then we met a guy named Bobby, who said he wasn't going to pray with us until he looked into our eyes. He said that could feel of our good spirit. Graces and Bobbies make it all worth it.
Here is a picture to break up the monotony. This is us and the Elders at a member's house. Yup. I do look that good every day.
So, we are working with a lot of cool people right now. There is this really awesome couple, Jaime and Liliana. They want to get baptized to go to the temple. They are so AWESOME!!!, but they are both married to other people. She's married to someone here, and he is married to someone in Peru. The ward is helping us so much, and things are starting to progress. They have no money to get a divorce, so the people in the ward have been super generous. We might not be here when everything goes through, but Jaime and Liliana deserve it. They have been waiting for a long time.
Here are few things that happened to us this week. We have an investigator named Fara. She feeds us every time we go over even if we've told her we just ate. Last time, she fed us this thing called Civiche. I don't know how to spell it, but it was basically just a pound of raw fish.I didn't think I'd be able to do it, but I ate it all. I wanted to barf, but she had no idea. I'm learning so many helpful skills on my mission. Her husband also gives us nasty besitos on the cheek even though we try to stiff arm him every time. They are a crazy couple.
Welp, that's about it family. We have transfer next week, so we'll see what happens. I'm praying to stay here. I don't know anything else. I'd be terrified to leave, but I'll go wherever the Lord wants me. Remember that the Lord loves you and that there is a crazy missionary in Florida that loves you too and wishes she could do more to help you guys back home. Tell dad good luck with his Pirate operation. We'll sing "yo ho yo ho" on Halloween to commemorate his fallen cataracts. Love you all!!!

P.S. ELDER OAKS WAS HERE!! I'm somewhere in there too.
