November 5, 2013

Well, family. It's finally come. I'm leaving Lauderhill. I'm SO sad, but equally excited. I know that this all the Lord's will, so I know that wherever I go will be where the Lord wants me. We were finally going to have a miracle baptism this weekend. This kid came to church and he wants to be baptized next week. He needs it so bad. I was so excited to be here for that, but I guess the Lord has different plans for me. They better be good HAHA because I was really excited.

This week has been fun and crazy. The Lauderhill Ward has really caught the spirit of missionary work. They are showering us with member referrals. We are...Sister Meiling and her new companion...are going to have a hard time keeping up with all the work here. It's going to be an exciting time...*sniffle*.

Halloween is the craziest time as a missionary. We knocked on doors earlier, so that people wouldn't think we were trick-or-treaters. People still thought we were though, and they were a little annoyed and mean when they found out that we were "church people". HAHA but a we did get into the Halloween spirit a little bit by getting scared half to death. We were just walking down the street when all of the sudden we heard a little rustle next to us. We turned and looked and WHOOSH!!! there was a flash of green and this HUGE iguana shot out of nowhere and flew past us up a tree. Sister Meiling and I probably looked ridiculous. We ran for a bit until we realized that we were ok. Florida is such a crazy place.

Well, family, I've got to go pack. I love you all. I'm keeping all of you in my prayers. Just remember that God loves you, and that Christ's Atonement is more powerful than we think. We can always turn to Jesus Christ and He will help us. I love you!

P.S. Sorry for the lack of pictures this week. Hopefully more next time.
