Dear Family,
So...transfers happened. You are not going to believe what happened. I would never have guessed this in a million years. So, the way they do transfers here is that they let us know over a phone call on Monday night if we will be leaving. On Wednesday, all the companionships meet together in a chapel, and they announce by zone who will be where. I was sweating BULLETS! I really had no idea where I'd be, but for the few days before transfers I just had the feeling that the Lord wanted me to do something that was going to stretch me. I had no idea what it was though. So, they went through all the zones and finally got to the last one. The farthest south zone that you could get. There are only two sister areas in this zone. One is a bilingual branch with Spanish and English that my trainer opened and the other is a YSA branch. I thought the bilingual branch for sure. I was wrong. I'm serving in a Young Single Adult Branch, Snapper Creek. This is my companion, Sister Schneider. She goes home in two transfers, and I have no idea what I am doing in YSA, so I feel like I am being trained all over again.
So, our area covers an entire zone on the mission, so we have a HUGE area. Technically, we cover the keys. So, hypothetically, if we were to get a SUPER solid referral who wanted to come to YSA, we could go down there. It will probaly never happen, but it, HYPOTHETICALLY, could. Also, our area is the farthest south that sisters can go. Woohoo! We are teaching a few cool people. I love it. It is super different. I've never taught in English, and I'm used to teaching older people, but things will be good. I'm going to have to adjust, but I know that the Lord wants me here. There are only three YSA branches in the mission, so not a lot of missionaries get to serve in YSA. I don't know why God wanted me here (He knows how awkward I am), but I know He does.
In other news: remember Jorge and Adelfa? I got news that Jorge got baptized yesterday in the Doral ward!! Hooray! Look at them. I love them.
Lastly, this is for Trevor Willis Gardner Pants. How did the Celtics do this year?
Family, I love you. Pray for me. I am WAY out of my element, but things are going to be awesome. The Lord is going to be helping me A LOT. I'm excited for it. Love you, Love YOU, LOVE YOU.
