GREETINGS FROM PALM BEACH COUNTY!!
Those are my little feet. I don't have a lot of pictures this week because we have had a crazy, CRAZY week. A huge thing that added to the craziness of it all was that I pulled a little back muscle. Don't freak out, Mom. I've found the cure to acute back pain. If any of you have it, follow this regimen.
Monday: Have a nice, relaxing p-day.
Tuesday: Do missionary work. While doing missionary work, hurt your back--really, really bad.
Wednesday: Pack up an entire house. Move into a new house, then do missionary work for the remaining hours of the day. Whatever you do, do not rest for a second.
Thursday: Help a member paint her outside patio. Be sure to crane your neck at a strange angle. Also, if you could manage getting bit by a strange parrot, that would be great. Continue doing missionary work as usual.
Friday: Run almost completely out of miles in the car. Ride your bike A LOT.
Saturday: Ride your bike all day again.
Sunday: Go to church and have two awesome investigators come.
That's the cure! It's actually not too bad. There are some side effects. Now my whole body hurts and not just my back, but the acute back pain is cured. It was really weird. I was riding my little bike home last night, my back hurt, my legs burned, I was sweating, we had just dropped one of our really awesome investigators because she wasn't willing to progress, and I realized that I was smiling like a fool. I'm SO happy, and at times I don't understand why. Somebody should have warned me that at this point in my mission, I'd go a little crazy. I'll take it though. It's worth it.
So, a little miracle from this week. We have been working really, really hard and haven't been teaching much. The people up here are a lot different. I feel like I am learning how to be a missionary all over again. It feels like that every transfer. Well, we had done everything that we possibly could and come Sunday, it didn't look like we would have anyone at church. Sister Fletcher and I kneeled in prayer, and I felt like I was begging the Lord. We told him how we had done everything that we possibly could, help us. We had tried so, so hard. Well, he blessed us. We walked into church and two new investigators were sitting in the back pew. God is good.
I forgot to say in the last email that the temple open house and dedication are coming up here pretty soon. As sister missionaries, we get to give the little introduction to the tour. I'm going to be down there on Saturday! We are so, so excited. Also, they told us President Monson will be at the dedication. EEEEEHHH!! Best time to be a missionary! I'm so grateful that God has perfect timing. I am so grateful to be here right at this very second.
Family, I love you so very much. I'm praying here for all of you. Keep on keepin' on.
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Gardner
