How goes things!? I miss you all A LOT!! This week has been alright. We've had a hard time finding people to teach, BUT we have an awesome Guatemalan guys set for baptism next week. He is so, SO cool. Hopefully, I will have baptismal pictures to show you next week. Our little area needs it.
I don't really have much to share with you all this week. We went down to Plantation for a meeting on the way back, we stopped at an old restaurant I love. We got baliadas. As you can see by the very attractive picture below, I LOVE THEM. It made my week.
Speaking of Spanish things...we have a precious little Spanish community in our ward. They are the best. I feel like leaving them will be like leaving home again. They LOVE missionaries. They will take us wherever we need to go and feed us whatever we want :). I love them so much. Since they speak Spanish and the ward mostly speaks English, they love talking to us and really rely on us to help them out. That is why yesterday, I HAD TO TRANSLATE SACRAMENT MEETING. It was terrifying. They said I did well though. It was kind of cool. It just came out. I didn't think i could do it, but when I was in there, it just flowed. I didn't know how to say "good samaritan" though. I have since learned. It was a cool experience. God really does make our weaknesses strengths.
A few other funny things have happened this week. We are trying to help the ward find less actives. We drove up to a gated house, but a car was pulling up. We bolted from the car and ran into the gate. They probably thought we were nuts, but we found them:) hehe. They got a lesson and a prayer. The next time we weren't so lucky. We found him, but he does not like us. HAHA. I would have cried had the things he was saying not been so ridiculous. It was an adventure.
Well, family, I love you mucho. Thank you for all the love and support back home and for being so wonderful. Les quiero mucho!
Hermana Gardner
