How are things in good ol' AZ? I miss it a bit. One of the things that I miss the most is the crisp air and also knowing what all the bugs are. I have no idea what all the strange bugs are around here, but there are a lot of them. There was a white spider in our car yesterday. Don't worry. I smashed it with my hand. Also, Sister Daines and I pulled out the washer and dryer to try and find out where the bed bugs are hiding. They weren't there. But guess what. I have killed a TON of roaches. I rinsed one down the sink and garbage disposeled it. They fear me. I hope the bed bugs do too. They aren't in our room, but we have found some in our bathroom. We steam often. It will be alright.
I'm glad Dad's Father's Day went well. I'm also jealous that he got to sleep three hours like a girl. I'm sorry that I didn't send anything. Maybe next year.
Ok. News from the exciting Ft. Lauderdale mission. I'm going to do it with pictures this week.
Little Victor got baptized yesterday. Finally, the whole family is baptized. I almost cried when I saw them all sitting at church yesterday. They are the cutest family. We stopped by to see them last night, and they are just the sweetest. HAHA I have to teach them how to tie a tie tomorrow. The best part about yesterday was...that Big Victor baptized Little Victor. They are the best. The Lord is blessing me to meet people with outrageous amounts of faith.
This was my dinner yesterday. Snapper with fried green bananas. It was actually delicious. I never thought I would like fish, but it's great. I remember thinking that I was going to come to Florida and get soul food. Instead I get Honduran, Peruvian, Cuban, Columbian etc. etc. etc. It has been so fun and yummy.
If you happen to see Elder Reece anytime soon, and you happen to have your computer around, show him this. He'll know what it is. These are called baliadas. Bless my soul. How have I gone almost 24 years with out them?
Well, my time is running out. I'm doing good over here. They have this thing for trainers and trainee missionaries called the 12 week program. It's for your first two transfers as a missionary. I like to call it the 12 Step Program, just like AA. I feel like that is how my life has been the last few weeks--like I'm coming off some major benders. It's taking a lot to get the world out of me and to get me used to mission life. It's good though. When I teach people here about repentance and change I can really testify about it. I know it's true because I know that I am changing a lot right now, and i know it's through Jesus Christ's Atonement. Without that, none of us would be able to change and grow. It's really wonderful. I miss you all! Hope things are well. Tell Abby thank you for the pretty picture. I loved it. Tell her I have a small present coming for her in the mail. I love you and miss you! Thank you for everything.
